In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025 with theme: “For All Women and Girls: Rights, Equality and Empowerment”; Nexus for Peace and Gender Empowerment (NEPEG) recognizes the urgent need to enhance understanding and advocacy for gender issues among young individuals. Gender equality remains a critical challenge globally, and empowering young gender advocates, enthusiasts, and activists is essential for fostering a more equitable society. Therefore, NEPEG is organizing a virtual training on Gender Advocacy from March 10th 2025 to April 11th 2025.

The main objective of this training is to empower young gender advocates, enthusiasts, and activists with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in gender concepts and advocacy, enabling them to effectively promote gender equality and drive impactful change within their communities.

Specifically, this training will:

• Provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of basic gender concepts and the relevant legal frameworks, both nationally and internationally.
• Equip young advocates with practical skills and strategies for effective advocacy and activism in their communities.
• Create a platform for participants to connect with experienced trainers and fellow advocates, fostering a supportive community for ongoing engagement in gender issues.

The training will culminate in an onsite “Women Café” in Yaoundé, where participants can showcase their learning and receive recognition for their efforts.
